About Psalms in Season

Welcome to Psalms in Season, a new collection of settings of the Responsorial Psalms for use in the Roman Catholic Church in England and Wales. The psalms are based on the new translation of the Lectionary and are approved by Colloquium on behalf of the Catholic Bishops Conference of England and Wales.

The settings have arisen from the worship life of St Dominic's Catholic Church in Croydon. I began to write them in order to give more options to the singers in our community. It soon became a project with a life of its own, and then entered a whole new phase when the new Lectionary was released for use in Advent 2024. I hope that they will be useful to singers and congregations in other communities and support their liturgical experience.
